Etihad Airways opens new lounge at JFK

3 Dec 2015 by Clement Huang

Etihad Airways has opened its new first and business class lounge at New York’s JFK International Airport – the airline’s second premium lounge in the US after Washington Dulles International Airport.

Located after the security checkpoint in Terminal 4, it is the first lounge to feature the new “Facets of Abu Dhabi” design theme, with colours that reflect the varying sandy hues of the UAE landscape.

Lounge amenities include a sculptural showcase bar and lounge, offering up a selection of cocktails (and mocktails) developed in partnership with London-based beverage consultancy, Fluid Movement. Food-wise, there is an a la carte and international buffet option available in the main dining area.

The facility offers restrooms with showers and changing rooms, dedicated male and female prayer rooms, a library and luggage storage.

A private area is also available exclusively for guests in The Residence – offering the same level of hospitality as that offered by the Savoy-trained butlers onboard the A380.

James Hogan, president and chief executive of Etihad Airways said: “The opening of Etihad Airways’ new First and Business Class Lounge at New York’s JFK International Airport reinforces our commitment to investing in the travel experience and providing our guests with the highest levels of comfort, luxury and world-class hospitality at every point in their journey – on the ground and in the air.”
