St Regis announces second Dubai property

St Regis Dubai - The PalmStarwood Hotels & Resorts has announced it will open a second St Regis property in Dubai, just days after the brand debuted in the city.

The St Regis Dubai, which is located on Sheikh Zayed Road in Al Habtoor City, opened last Friday (see news, November 19).

The St Regis Dubai – The Palm is scheduled to join it in 2018. The forthcoming property will be a part of Palm Tower, Nakheel’s 52-storey mixed-use development at the centre of Palm Jumeirah island.

It will contain 289 guestrooms, including 23 suites, occupying the first 18 floors of The Palm Tower, while the upper floors will comprise 504 luxury apartments.

The hotel will feature two swimming pools, including one of the world’s highest infinity pools on the 50th floor, some 210 metres above ground. The pool will border all four sides of the building, offering views of Palm Jumeirah, Arabian Gulf and the Dubai skyline.

Restaurants will include one located on the 51st floor, an all-day restaurant and a St Regis Beach Club.

A public rooftop viewing deck will be located on the 52nd floor.

St Regis made its debut in the Middle East in 2011 with The St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi, and has since opened The St Regis Doha, The St Regis Abu Dhabi and The St Regis Dubai.

The brand will enter Jordan with The St Regis Amman in 2016 and in 2018 will open The St Regis Dubai Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club.

  • Yes @uggboylovestravel, I read an article stating that Shangri-La would manage a hotel in the Palm Tower, so I’m supposing that there will be multiple hotels in the same building…
I might be wrong… but that would be my guess.

  • Thanks @B777-300er. I’m surprised that there will be several hotels in the Palm Tower, but it’s possible. Cheers & Safe travels.

  • Having had a closer look / search online incl. here on BT archives it looks most likely that St. Regis will operate the formerly announced Shangri-La Hotel. In reports the St. Regis has the same characteristics incl. room count as the announced Shangri-La property at the Palm Tower.

@B77-300er, thanks, it’s my pleasure. Cheers & Safe Travels.
