12 Nov 2015 by GrahamSmith
British Airways will operate an extra 14 frequencies from London City next summer, including a 50 per cent increase in capacity to Dusseldorf. The airline will add another Embraer 190 aircraft to its LCY fleet, enabling it to upgrade its three-times daily service to the German city, which is currently served by a turboprop jet. The new 98-seat aircraft will arrive in May, bringing the number of BA aircraft at the airport to 25. From June to September next year, BA will also add three extra weekly services to Nice; two extra to Faro, Florence, Ibiza and Angers (see news, November 3); and one extra to Quimper, Venice and Palma, Majorca. In summer 2016, BA will fly over 700 flights a week to 30 destinations in the UK, Europe and the US. ba.com Graham Smith
