Bonus Qmiles on new Qatar Airways routes

Qatar Airways Privilege Club members can earn up to 20,000 bonus QMiles per return journey when booking award flights to select destinations.

The carrier is promoting its new routes from Doha to Sydney and Adelaide, which are due to launch on March 1 and May 2 respectively (see news, September 30 and October 13), and to Nagpur and Los Angeles.

When flying to either Australian city, members travelling in business class can earn 10,000 bonus QMiles each way, or 5,000 bonus miles each way when in economy. Those travelling to Sydney must fly between March 1 and May 31, while those heading to Adelaide must fly between May 2 and July 31.

Privilege Club members flying to Nagpur in business can earn 4,000 bonus QMiles each way or 2,000 bonus miles each way in economy. Travel must be taken between December 1 and February 26.

Those flying to Los Angeles in business can earn 7,000 bonus QMiles each way or 3,500 bonus miles each way in economy. Travel must be booked by January 31 and travel taken between January 1 and February 29. On this route, the offer is valid for main members and not family members, redemptions are valid for anyone the member chooses, and each redemption may include up to nine passengers on the same transaction.

To qualify, members must login to their Privilege Club accounts, select “My Offers” on the dashboard menu, register at least 24 hours before travel, and quote their membership number at reservation of check-in.

On all four routes, members may use the offer more than once during the offer period.

  • “or first class on the Sydney route” – are QR going to be operating the a380 to Sydney? I thought it was the a350 which is J only?
