10 Nov 2015 by Clement Huang

Singapore Airlines (SIA) will add Dusseldorf to its route network on July 21, 2016, with the destination becoming the carrier’s third German city served.

Subject to regulatory approval, flight SQ338 will depart Singapore on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 2330, and arrive in Dusseldorf at 0630 the following day. The return sector will see flight SQ337 take off from Dusseldorf at Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at 1130, before touching back down in Singapore at 0610 the next day.

Flights will be operated by the A350-900, which SIA expects to take delivery of in the first quarter of 2016. Featuring a three-class configuration, the aircraft offers 42 seats in business, 24 in premium economy and 187 in economy.

“Flights to Dusseldorf will complement our existing services to Europe, and be served by all-new Airbus A350-900s fitted with Singapore Airlines’ latest cabin products,” said Singapore Airlines’ senior vice president marketing planning, Lee Wen Fen.

“With this addition, Singapore Airlines will serve the three largest airports in Germany, including Frankfurt and Munich.”

Ticket sales for the new Dusseldorf route will be made available for sale through various distribution channels on a progressive basis.
