Taipei Marriott Hotels opens its doors

Taipei Marriott Hotel has successfully opened for business.

Housed within Taipei’s largest integrated destination complex, the property operates alongside a shopping and dining arcade, as well as a convention centre.

Situated along the north bank of the Keelung River, Taipei Marriott Hotel is located near several cultural attractions, including MeiTi Riverside Park, Yangmingshan National Park and the National Revolutionary Martyrs’ Shrine. It is also a 10-minutes drive from Songshan International Airport. 

Taipei Marriott Hotel offers a total of 320 guestrooms, with standard in-room amenities comprising of plasma television screen offering cable and satellite channels, marble bathroom with separate bathtub and shower and a minibar.

Guests staying in the Privilege Rooms or suites are also afforded access to the executive lounge. Opened daily from 6am to 11pm, the lounge is located on the 19th floor and offers complimentary food throughout the day, as well as use of business services for a fee.

There are five restaurants on site, and guests can choose from having all-day dining at Garden Kitchen, grill at Inge’s (available from Dec 2015), Japanese at Mark’s Teppanyaki (available from this month), or drinks and tasty bites at the Lobby Lounge. 

A fitness centre is also available, while a heated rooftop pool is expected to be ready in the coming months. The Taipei Marriott Hotel Spa will open in December 2015, and offer a range of treatments including body scrub, couple’s massage and facials. 

Despite being situated close to a convention centre, the hotel also offers a respectable number of meeting facilities, including 12 event rooms with a total size of 3,000sqm. The largest event space, a pillarless and high ceiling ballroom can accommodate up to 1,500 guests.
