Ovolo introduces initiative targeting start-ups

5 Nov 2015 by Clement Huang

Ovolo Hotels has launched the Mojo Nomad initiative, designed to help foster Hong Kong’s rising start-up scene and offer global entrepreneurs a living and workspace environment.

Mojo Nomad will initially launch at the company’s Southside and NoHo properties, with the programme offering all-inclusive daily, weekly and monthly rental for entrepreneurs to work, sleep and play from a central hotspot.

Along with standard accommodation, guests will also get access to a 24-hour co-working space, free daily breakfast, wifi at 9,000 plus locations across Hong Kong, all-day use of the gym, self-service laundry as well as a range of F&B amenities.

Entrepreneurs opting to set up shop at Ovolo NoHo will gain access to the property’s lounge on the second floor, while those at Southside will enjoy the benefits afforded by the recent refresh of the property’s Lo Lounge and CIRQLE venues.

Mojo Nomad is available in a range of flexible packages, with daily rates starting from HK$780 (US$100), weekly rates from HK$5,460 (US$704), and monthly rates from HK$23,400 (US$3,020).

“When you think about the global success of some of the biggest brands in the last decade, what’s one thing most have in common? They were started in a college dorm or the family garage. These environments, where ones’ eating, sleeping and working aspects are taken care of by others, fuels entrepreneurism. It’s where my inspiration for MOJO NOMAD began,” said Ovolo Hotels’ chief executive Girish Jhunjhnuwala.
