Intercontinental Hotels Group has announced it will open Holiday Inn hotels in Warsaw and St Petersburg in 2018.
The 254-room Holiday Inn Warsaw - City Centre (right) will be located a short walk from the main train station and a 20-minute drive from Warsaw Chopin International airport.
Facilities will include the brand's Open Lobby with a 24-hour restaurant and bar; 118 sqm conference area; five meeting rooms; and a gym on the 16th floor with view across Warsaw.
Holiday Inn St Petersburg – Proletarskaya will contain 414 rooms, including 18 suites, and will be located near Proletarskaya underground station.
It will feature "extensive" meeting facilities, including a conference centre and 1,000-seat congress hall; and an Open Lobby with a 24-hour restaurant, bar, lounge and business centre.
There are currently 282 Holiday Inn hotels in Europe with a further 37 in the pipeline.
IHG also plans to open a dual-branded Holiday Inn/Holiday Inn Express property in Munich in 2018 (see news, September 30).
