Alila Solo opens in November

27 Oct 2015 by Tamsin Cocks

Alila Hotels & Resorts will celebrate the opening of Alila Solo in Surakata, Central Java next month.

The property will be the first luxury international hotel in the region, boasting the largest event space, tallest rooftop bar and innovative architecture.

Alila Solo’s design features eight towers of varying heights that create a star-like pattern of interior corridors. The 255 rooms and suites have a modern style, melded with subtle Javanese nuances such as exclusively commissioned batik designs.

An Executive Lounge features full business centre facilities, secretarial services and all day refreshments.

Onsite F&B offerings include the all day dining restaurant Epice, which uses fresh, local ingredients to create Javanese as well as Pan-Asian and international dishes. The rooftop bar Agra offers a selection of tapas and cocktails against a backdrop of the region’s valleys and volcanoes.

Leisure features include a swimming pool on level six, complete with sun deck and pool café, Spa Alila, a two-storey gym and a children’s pool and club.

In addition to the massive 3,500 capacity Grand Ballroom – the largest space in the city – Alila Solo has 15 additional venues for meetings and corporate events.

A 15-minute drive from Adi Sumarmo International Airport, Alila Solo lies within easy reach of the city’s main attractions. It’s also close to some of Solo’s more modern developments including Solo Square Mall for shopping, dining and entertainment.

Following the opening next month, Alila Hotels & Resorts is set to open a string of new properties. 2016 will see the opening of four properties in China, two in Indonesia, plus one in Sri Lanka and Cambodia, with more properties in the pipeline.
