Air Berlin axes all Russia flights

20 Oct 2015 by GrahamSmith

Air Berlin is cancelling all three of its services to Russia this winter.

The carrier will operate its final route, a double-daily service between Berlin Tegel and Moscow Domodedovo, on January 18.

The Oneworld member's daily Dusseldorf-Moscow Domodedovo route will end on November 10, and the four-times weekly Berlin Tegel-Kaliningrad on January 11, reports airlineroute.net.

Last month, Air Berlin announced that passengers flying long-haul will soon have the option of paying an additional €79.99 for an "XL" economy seat (see news, September 2).
