Oman Air has taken delivery of its first B787-8 Dreamliner.
The Muscat-based carrier ordered six of the Boeing aircraft in 2011 (see news, November 2011).
It is due to start operating the Dreamliner from October 25, initially on routes including Frankfurt and Milan Malpensa.
The B787-8 will carry 267 passengers, with 18 seats in business class and 249 in economy.
Paul Gregorowitsch, Oman Air CEO, said: "We are delighted to receive our first Dreamliner which, combined with Oman Air's award-winning service, will provide an excellent travel experience for our customers.
"Our decision to invest in this game-changing aircraft underlines our confidence in the 787 and the value it will add in terms of reliability, operational efficiency and comfort."
