Hilton opens first of 11 Chengdu hotels

13 Oct 2015 by Clement Huang

Hilton Worldwide has celebrated the opening of the Hilton Chengdu, the first of the global hospitality group’s 11 hotels in the pipeline in the Chinese city.

The 395-room property is also the 30th Hilton branded hotel to operate in China, which expands the group’s portfolio to over 60 hotels operating in the Greater China region.

It is located in the new CBD area of Chengdu, placing it directly opposite the rapidly expanding Tianfu Software Park and close to the Century City Convention Centre, which is the largest in the city. The architecture and design of the hotel was overseen by Atkins.

Hilton Chengdu is housed within a building that is capped with crystal-like structures, from where visitors can view a daily light show at nightfall. Meanwhile, accommodation interiors draw inspiration from Sichuan design elements that are combined with modern amenities including wifi access and the brand’s signature Serenity Bed.

Executive lounge

Access to the executive lounge on level 38 is offered to guests staying at the executive level, and offers complimentary breakfast and happy hour along with coffees, teas and assorted juices throughout the day. Other club benefits include private lounge check-in/check-out and concierge services.

There are five F&B outlets onsite. Guest can choose from all-day dining at Mix, drinks and snacks at Onyx Lobby Lounge and Bar, Italian cuisine at the Standard, Chinese at Yuxi, and teas from Zen Six Chinese Tea House.

Hilton Chengdu also offers a range of recreational facilities including a full service spa, 24/7 fitness centre and rooftop swimming pool.
