Hilton Worldwide will open its first Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in Cambridge in December.
Hilton Cambridge will contain 198 rooms, including six suites, and will occupy the current Cambridge City Hotel, which has been refurbished.
Facilities will include a gym, business centre, an executive floor and lounge, three food and drink outlets, and meetings and events space for up to 200 people.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, Hilton Worldwide senior vice president, said: "Cambridge is an established tourist destination owing to its rich academic history, but in recent years it has also become a centre of economic growth, thanks in part to more than 1,500 technology, research and development companies based in the area."
Hilton Cambridge, which is owned by CDL Hospitality Trusts, will join the nearby Doubletree by Hilton Cambridge.
Hilton London Euston is currently carrying out an £8 million refurbishment that includes all of the hotel's 150 guestrooms (see news, August 16).
