Starwood Hotels & Resorts will open its first W Hotels property in Serbia in 2019.
W Belgrade will be located in the city's new two kilometre-long waterfront area and will feature 120 guestrooms and suites.
Facilities will include an all-day dining venue, bar, spa, fitness facility, pool deck and 450 sqm of meeting and event space.
The development will also include The Residences at W Belgrade, spanning across two towers and containing 165 residential apartments ranging in size from 55 to 100 sqm. Residents will have access to the hotel's facilities and services.
Michael Wale, Starwood president in Europe, Africa and Middle East, said: "We are thrilled to establish our relationship with Belgrade Waterfront LLC and introduce the W Hotels brand's energetic DNA to Serbia, especially into Belgrade.
"We look forward to attracting both local and international guests to W Belgrade and this spectacular new city hub."
Last month, Starwood announced it will open a third W Hotels property in Los Angeles in 2019 (see news, September 8).
