Sheraton brand moves into Hokkaido

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has signed an agreement with Kiroro Resort Holdings to manage the Sheraton Hokkaido Kiroro Resort, scheduled to open in December this year.

The 140-room property will be the brand's first in Hokkaido and feature an architectural decor reminiscent of styles found in the region. It is located less than a 90-minute drive from New Chitose International Airport and a 40-minute drive from the port of Otaru via a free shuttle service.

The brand's signature Sheraton Club concept will be available at the property, with an excutive lounge available for guests staying at the designated club rooms and suites. Complimentary breakfast, all-day refreshments and free wifi will be provided at the lounge.

There will be three F&B options available, including: an all-day dining restaurant serving Japanese and Western buffet-style dishes; a grab-and-go cafeteria for light bites; and a lobby lounge serving cocktails and snacks.
