Qantas upgrades loyalty partnership with Accor

21 Sep 2015 by Clement Huang

Qantas Frequent Flyer, the loyalty program of The Flying Kangaroo, has upgraded its existing partnership with Accor Hotels.

In a nutshell, there are now two ways in which members of Qantas Frequent Flyer and Le Club Accor Hotels can convert their points at a 1:1 ratio.

1. Members can continue converting points manually, with the minimum threshold being reduced to 2,000 Le Club Accor Hotels Points from 4,000.

2. Members can now also set up an automatic conversion to convert Le Club Accor Hotels Points to Qantas Points. There is no minimum threshold. In order to set this up, members must login to their Le Club Accor Hotels account via qantaspoints.com and set this preference.

According to Qantas Loyalty chief executive Lesley Grant, not only do these changes simplify the process of converting Le Club Accor Hotels Points to Qantas Points but its also gives members of both programs greater options.

“Members can login to their Le Club Accor Hotels account and choose to automatically sweep across their points into their Qantas Frequent Flyer account after each stay,” said Grant.

“This means members will only have to set their preferences once and the points conversion will automatically happen in the background.”

“But equally, if members want to have a little more control they can still periodically log into their Le Club Accor Hotels account and manually move points across to their Frequent Flyer account when it’s convenient to them,” Grant added.
