Hilton Hotels & Resorts has opened a new property in Wenchang, situated along the east coast of Hainan Island, China.
The 439-room Hilton Wenchang is located 25km from the Wenchang high-speed railway station, and 65km from Haikou Meilan International Airport.
The hotel is also just three kilometres from the Satellite Launch Centre, which has been pegged to launch the Long March 5 rocket in 2016, meaning hotel guests will enjoy front row seats for the rare event.
The hotel’s interior features a tropical, Southeast Asian décor, with natural elements used to highlight the tropical setting. Most guestrooms, suites and villas offer views of the sea, and those staying in the executive rooms and suites also have access to the executive lounge.
There are five F&B outlets onsite – specialised teas at Tonggi Lounge; healthy grill at Open; drinks at Sundae; Hainanese and Cantonese at Haitian; and Italian at Bocca.
Hilton Wenchang also caters for events by offering more than 1,500sqm of flexible meeting and banquet facilities. There’s the 800sqm Grand Ballroom, a 440sqm multifunctional hall that can be partitioned into smaller segments, as well as six meeting rooms and a business centre.
Recreational facilities include the Spa Experience Centre, outdoor swimming pools, and a 24-hour fitness centre. Young ones can also visit the children’s playground and the designated Family Entertainment rooms.
