Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) has partnered with Korean Air, allowing members to convert their Starpoints into the airline’s Skypass miles.
SPG and Skypass members can transfer points to miles at a 1:1 ratio. What's more, for every 20,000 Starpoints transferred, SPG members will immediately earn an additional 5,000 points as a bonus.
This effectively means that transferring 20,000 Starpoints into Skypass miles could earn you a total of 25,000 miles, which represents a generous 1:1.25 ratio.
To commemorate the partnership between the two parties, new members of SPG that stay with any participating Starwood hotel or resort in Asia-Pacific by November 12 will earn 1,000 bonus Starpoints per stay, up to a maximum of 2,000 points during the promotion period.
Meanwhile, Skypass members that do not have an SPG account can still enjoy a 15 per cent discount at participating SPG restaurants and bars in Korea. The offer is also valid until November 12.
