Emirates will roster a second A380 to Melbourne next year.
From March 1, the Gulf carrier will replace the B777-300ER that currently operates its daily Dubai-Singapore-Melbourne EK404/405 service with a three-class superjumbo, reports airlineroute.net.
Outbound flight EK404 departs Dubai at 0930, lands in Singapore at 2045, leaves Singapore at 2225, and arrives in Melbourne at 0850 the next day.
Return flight EK405 departs Melbourne at 1900, lands in Singapore at 2335, leaves Singapore at 0120 the next day, and arrives in Dubai at 0450.
At present, Emirates flies to Melbourne three-times daily, twice with a B777-300ER (EK404/405 via Singapore and EK408/409 via Kuala Lumpur) and once direct with an A380 (EK406/407).
Last week, it was announced that Emirates' London services will become an A380-only offering from the start of next year (see news, August 6).
