Swire Hotels will open its third East property and the first outside of China later this year.
The 352-room East, Miami, will be located in the city’s Brickell district, within the mixed use Brickell City Centre development.
The hotel will feature eight suites and 89 residences (long-stay rooms with kitchen and laundry facilities), and all rooms will offer balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows with view of Miami and Biscayne Bay.
There will be a rooftop bar, and two restaurants, including signature eatery Quinto La Huella, serving Uruguayan “parrila” (grilled) dishes and featuring indoor and outdoor seating on the fifth floor.
Meeting space will include a 316 sqm ballroom on the 39th floor of the hotel, with 270 degree views, as well as two pre-function spaces and a boardroom on the 38th floor, and four smaller workshops on the 6th floor.
Finally leisure facilities include a fitness centre, and outdoor pool deck with lap pool, spa pool, cold plunge and hot tub.
East, Miami will join existing properties in Hong Kong and Beijing. Swire Hotels also operates the recently launched House Collective brand (see news June 2015), comprising The Opposite House Beijing, The Upper House Hong Kong, and the soon-to-open Temple House Chengdu.
In the UK the group owns the Chapter Hotels brand, which currently includes the Montpellier Chapter in Cheltenham, and the Magdalen Chapter in Exeter.
