Hyatt Place, an upscale hotel brand with over 220 locations worldwide, will make its Australian debut in 2017.
Hyatt Place Melbourne will be located in the Essendon Fields development, an upcoming business hub in Melbourne just six miles from the central business district with easy access to the Tullamarine International Airport.
Launched in 2006, the Hyatt Place brand "combines style with casual hospitality" to cater to busy frequent travellers.
Rooms in the eight-storey hotel will feature the brand’s signature Cozy Corner sofa-sleeper, as well as a 42” flat screen TV. The hotel will also offer complimentary hot breakfast, food freshly prepared around the clock, free wifi, and adaptable spaces for business and social events.
Adjacent to the hotel will be a stand-alone conference facility with an exhibition hall of over 500sqm able to accommodate over 420 people, and an 80-seat restaurant and bar.
The AU$60 million (US$ 44.2m) hotel is being developed as a management agreement between Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Essendon Fields Pty Ltd (a joint venture between Fox Group Holdings and Beck Corporation, two of Australia’s most prominent developers).
Hyatt Place Melbourne Essendon Fields will be the sixth Hyatt hotel in Australia.
