Qatar Airways will begin deploying the B787-8 on the Doha–Jakarta route from October 25, replacing the incumbent A330-200.
The aircraft change is great news for Qatar Airways’ premium customers, as the B787-8 offers a superior business class product over the older Airbus airplane. In particular, the cabin will finally feature flat bed seats, as opposed to the angle-flat product on the A330-200.

On the other hand, the Dreamliner’s economy class seats offer an inch less pitch, while the seat width is also slightly narrower.
There will also be a slight decrease in capacity, with the B787-8 offering 22 seats in business (two less than the A330-200) and 232 in economy (16 fewer than the Airbus aircraft).
Flight schedule remains the same, with QR958 departing Doha daily at 1900 and arriving in Jakarta at 0725 the next day. The return service sees flight QR959 take off from Jakarta at 0855 and touch back down in Doha at 1330.
