China Southern has launched a four-times weekly service between Guangzhou and San Francisco.
The carrier has rostered a three-class B787-8 Dreamliner on to the non-stop route, which operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The aircraft has four seats in first class, 24 in business and 200 in economy.
The outbound service departs Guangzhou Baiyun airport at 1230 and arrives in San Francisco at 1010, with the return leg leaving San Francisco at 1210 and landing in Guangzhou at 1730 the next day.
The carrier launched a three-times weekly Guangzhou-Wuhan-San Francisco service in December. Operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, the service is 15 hours, compared to a shortened flight time of 12 hours for the new direct route.
