China Southern has begun direct services to San Francisco.
The service departs Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 1230, arriving in San Francisco International Airport at 1010. The return leg leaves America at 1210 and lands in China at 1730.
A 228-seat B787 is used on the route, consisting of four first, 24 business and 200 economy seats.
The carrier launched its first San Francisco service in December last year from Guangzhou via Wuhan, operating on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, flying for a total of 15 hours (see here). The new non-stop service will shorten the flight time to 12 hours.
