Pentahotels will open a second Hong Kong property in the up-and-coming Tuen Mun area.

An alternative to the typical urban landscape in Hong Kong, Tuen Mun is within close proximity to the Shenzhen border, making it an attractive choice for travellers moving between Hong Kong and China. Now a modern residential area in the north-west New Territories, Tuen Mun is also home to numerous government facilities, including a magistrate court and registration office.

The 298-room Pentahotel Tuen Mun is scheduled to open in autumn 2016, and will complement the existing Pentahotel Kowloon (see here) in Diamond Hill, itself a fast-emerging district in East Kowloon.

Pentahotels has confirmed that its signature Pentalounge will once again be available at the Tuen Mun property. The space will act as the heart of the hotel, and combines a lobby, reception area, and bar into a single venue.

“Guests love the distinctive design as well as our creative approach to every aspect of the hotel experience, from the cool lobby gathering place to streamlined, practical conveniences,” explains Sonia Cheng, CEO of Rosewood Hotel Group, Pentahotels’ parent company.

“We’re confident that Pentahotel Tuen Mun will further extend the Penta brand’s success in Hong Kong when it opens next year.”
