Hilton Worldwide has signed five new properties to join its Curio Collection portfolio.

The hotels are The Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan; Anselmo Buenos Aires in Argentina; The Hoodoo Moab in Moab, Utah; The Partridge Inn Augusta in Georgia; and Redmont Hotel Birmingham in Alabama.

The four and five-star Curio brand, "ranging from boutique urban hotels to large beachfront resorts", was launched in the US last summer (see news, June 2014).

The five new properties will join the eight hotels already in the collection.

These are The Highland Dallas in Texas; SLS Las Vegas Hotel & Casino in Nevada; Diplomat Resort & Spa Hollywood in Florida; The Franklin Hotel Chapel Hill in North Carolina; Providence Biltmore in Rhode Island; Boulders Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona; The Sam Houston Hotel in Texas; and Juniper Hotel Cupertino in California.

Hilton Worldwide senior vice president Bill Fortier said: "With nearly 40 properties and 11,000 rooms either open or in various stages of development, Curio - A Collection by Hilton has quickly become one of the industry's top performing hotel collections."

Hilton HHonors members can earn 1,500 bonus points per night when staying at a Curio Collection hotel before July 31 (see news, May 11).
