Emirates has opened its first lounge in Japan, in Terminal 2 of Narita International Airport. The Tokyo facility is the carrier’s 38th dedicated lounge available worldwide.
As expected, the Narita lounge features the same colour palette seen across Emirates’ other lounges, which the airline describes as “neutral, earthy tones”.
Boasting a size of 936sqm, the Emirates lounge offers a total of 174 seats – plenty of space for its premium passengers. Given that the carrier’s flights out of Tokyo depart during the evening, the lounge’s opening hours of 1800 to 2200 (Mon, Thu to Sun), and 1720 to 2120 (Tue, Wed) are appropriate.
Guests can choose from a complimentary selection of beverages as well as a wide range of hot and cold dishes from a gourmet buffet.
In addition, LED TVs provide the latest news and entertainment, while a fully equipped business centre is also available for those wishing to work before flight. Complementing this is a free wifi service that allows customers to remain connected throughout their visit.
Finally, passengers looking to freshen up prior to their flight can take advantage of the lounge’s shower facilities.
Entry to the lounge is available for the Gulf carrier’s first and business class customers, as well as platinum and gold members of the Emirates Skywards frequent flyer programme.
