Emirates has opened its 38th dedicated lounge worldwide in Tokyo Narita's Terminal 2.
The 936 sqm Emirates Lounge at Narita International Airport can seat 174 people and is the first airline-owned lounge in Japan.
Facilities include a fully-equipped business centre, complimentary wifi, food and beverage counter, showers and a prayer room.
Food options are a "wide range of hot and cold delicacies from a gourmet buffet".
The lounge is open from 1720 to 2120 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and from 1800 until 2200 on every other day of the week. Entry is available to Emirates first and business class passengers, and Platinum and Gold members of the Emirates Skywards loyalty programme.
Mohammed H Mattar, divisional senior vice president of Emirates Airport Services, said: "Japan is a very important market for Emirates and the dedicated lounge at Narita demonstrates our ongoing efforts to provide the best airport experience to premium Japanese travellers and our Skywards Platinum and Gold members."
Earlier this year, Emirates opened a lounge at Los Angeles International airport (see news, March 19).
