All Nippon Airways (ANA) will discontinue its daily 787-8 service between Tokyo Narita and Paris from October 25, the airline confirmed today.
In a statement to Business Traveller Asia-Pacific, ANA said the cancellation reflected reduced demand for this particular route.
"To match with market needs, we decided to cancel our services between Narita-Paris from October 25. Haneda-Paris will continue to operate", a spokesperson for ANA said.
The cancellation comes after an announcement earlier this week that the Star Alliance member will launch a new route from Tokyo Narita to Brussels (see here) among several other new additions this year, including Houston and Kuala Lumpur.
The daily flight to Paris departing from Haneda will continue to be operated by a larger 787-9, and sees NH215 depart at 1040, arriving at 1515 in Paris the same day. The return flight NH216 departs Paris at 2110 and arrives in Tokyo at 1705 the following day.
