1 Jun 2015 by Clement Huang

Gold and Platinum members of Etihad Guest – the frequent flyer program of Etihad Airways now have access to a dedicated Twitter account where they can receive prioritised service.

As one of the most popular social media platforms, Etihad uses Twitter to provide live feedback to customer queries and requests.

According to the carrier, the new priority account provides round-the-clock service in English and Arabic, guaranteeing a five-minute response time.

In addition, Etihad has stated that its top tier members can also receive privileged content, tailored news and offers directly through the dedicated channel.

So how does one join the platform? Well, Gold and Platinum members should first email [email protected] and attach a copy of the Etihad Guest card, along with their place of birth, post code and personal Twitter user name.

Upon verification, Etihad Guest will receive an invite to follow @EtihadPremium on Twitter.

Elizabeth Selby, Etihad’s head of social media spoke about being their first airline in the world to offer a Twitter account for its top-tier frequent flyers.

“The new channel aims to enhance the experience of our most valued guests by offering them a personalised service and delivering a range of unique benefits,” said Selby.

“It also allows Etihad Airways to create highly-focused campaigns and build stronger relationships with its premium audience through meaningful conversations.”
