Virgin to retire B747-400 at Heathrow next April

Virgin Atlantic is set to operate its final B747-400 aircraft out of London Heathrow next April.

The carrier's final two B747-400 services will be from LHR to Miami and New York JFK on April 17/18, 2016, reports airlineroute.net.

On April 17, flight VS005 will depart Heathrow at 1235 and arrive in Miami at 1715, with return flight VS006 leaving Miami at 2150 and landing in London at 1130 the next day.

Also on April 17, flight VS056 will take-off from LHR at 1400 and arrive at New York JFK at 1640, with return service VS046 leaving JFK at 1930 and landing at Heathrow at 0750 the next day.
