Easyjet will launch a year-round service between Edinburgh and Stuttgart on November 2.

The carrier will operate the route four-times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Return service EZY6916 will take-off from Stuttgart at 1100 and arrive in Edinburgh at 1215, except on Sundays, when it will depart Stuttgart at 1405 and land in Edinburgh at 1520.

Easyjet will also add 77,000 seats on its Edinburgh and Glasgow to London Stansted routes from November this winter season.

Ali Gayward, Easyjet's head of Scotland, said: "Easyjet now has an unrivalled network of over 50 routes served from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness and we are pleased to further strengthen our network from Edinburgh with the addition of services to Stuttgart and with these additional seats to London.

"We believe that the new route will prove a popular addition to our existing network especially for business travellers."

Earlier this week, Easyjet confirmed it will increase the number of seats on future A320 aircraft (see news, May 12)
