Etihad Airways is to introduce a Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner on to its Abu Dhabi-Singapore route from August 1, 2015.
The airline said the introduction of the Dreamliner will be a “major upgrade” of its services to Singapore Changi airport including the introduction of first class and a change in flights times.
Etihad’s Dreamliners are configured to include eight First suites, 28 business “studios” and 199 economy seats.
The airline’s new schedule from August 1 will see flight EY470 depart Abu Dhabi at 22.00 to arrive in Singapore at 10.15 the following day. The return flight EY473 will depart Singapore at 20.10 to arrive in Abu Dhabi at 23.14.
Etihad began flying to Singapore in 2007 with three flights per week and made the service daily in 2013.
James Hogan, the airline’s CEO, said: “The new schedule timings - with evening departures in both directions - will offer guests in the UAE and Singapore more convenient travel times and improved connectivity.”
