Melia Hotels International has announced the opening of two new properties in the Gulf states of Dubai and Qatar.
ME Doha will open in 2017 and will be Melia’s second property in the Qatari capital. The five-star hotel will have 235 rooms plus convention and business facilities including an executive area.
Leisure facilities will include a fitness centre and spa with infinity pool overlooking Doha’s skyline. There will also be three restaurants, nightclub, three bars and an open-air cinema.
ME Doha will be part of the Dohalive development which will also include a shopping mall, cinema complex and open-air facilities.
Dohalive is being developed by the Al-Baker group which is promising that the complex will “set a new standard for lifestyle destinations in Doha”.
The second new Melia International property will be Melia Downtown Residences Dubai, which is scheduled to open in 2018, and will include 258 residential units, as well as meeting rooms and a business centre.
The property will be located in Dubai’s central Financial Centre Road, close to Dubai Mall.
