Intercontinental Hotels Group has announced the opening of Crowne Plaza Berlin – Potsdamer Platz.
The hotel, which was formerly branded as the Wyndham Grand Berlin, has 256 rooms and is located a 15-minute walk away from Potsdamer Platz, one of the most visited sights in Berlin.
The property has 19 suites and an executive floor with a separate lounge and roof terrace.
It also offers a 500sqm of meeting and event facilities, including eight function rooms and a ballroom that can host up to 250 people. Leisure facilities include a spa, fitness area and treatment rooms.
The hotel’s restaurant, The Post, is styled as a French brasserie and specialises in Mediterranean cuisine. It also features an open show kitchen allowing diners to watch chefs at work, as well as a terrace.
There are currently 83 Crowne Plaza hotels in Europe and a further 14 in the pipeline.
Earlier this year, IHG announced the opening of Crowne Plaza London Battersea (see news, January 2015).
