Largest Hampton by Hilton to open in Dubai

27 Apr 2015 by GrahamSmith

Hilton Worldwide has announced plans to open the first Hampton by Hilton hotel in the Middle East.

The 420-room Hampton by Hilton Dubai Al Qusais will be located in a business district close to Dubai International airport's Terminal 2.

It is the brand's largest property under development in the world and is due to open in 2017.

The new-build will have facilities including a work zone, fitness centre and swimming pool. Food and drink options will include a bar, breakfast area and "living zone".

Phil Cordell, Hilton's global head of focused service and Hampton brand management, said: "This is a landmark moment in our global plans to expand Hampton with the agreement to open our first property in the Middle East, and largest property so far."

Hilton has also announced it will open the 166-room Hilton Garden Inn Dubai Al Garhoud, featuring complimentary wifi and the 24-hour Paviliion Pantry, in 2017.

It will be the third Garden Inn property in Dubai, joining Hilton Garden Inn Dubai Al Mina and Hilton Garden Inn Dubai Al Muraqabat, both of which are expected to open this year.

Both properties will open under a management agreement with Wasl Hospitality and Leisure.

Last month, Hilton revealed it will open its largest Hampton by Hilton property to date in Berlin in early 2018 (see news, March 3). That 344-room hotel has now been superseded in size by the upcoming Hampton by Hilton Dubai Al Qusais.
