BA to deploy daily A380 service to Singapore

24 Apr 2015 by Clement Huang

British Airways (BA) will begin daily A380 services between London Heathrow and Singapore from later this year.

The carrier currently flies twice-daily between the two cities, with the superjumbo being deployed three-times weekly on the route.

From December 14, the A380 will operate on the BA11/BA12 flights daily, with flight BA11 departing LHR at 1910 and arriving at Singapore Changi at 1555 the next day, and BA12 leaving the Lion City at 2320 and landing in London at 0510 the next day.

The other service on the route, BA15/BA16 will continue to be operated by a B777.

BA has also announced that it will open its refurbished lounge at Changi's Terminal 1 this summer. No further details are currently available.

Stephen Humphreys, BA's head of UK and Ireland sales, said: "Scheduling the A380 on the Singapore route on a daily basis signals our commitment to the route and the region."

Last October, BA celebrated rostering an A380 to Singapore by flying actress Gwyneth Paltrow to the city state (see here).
