JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts has opened its second hotel in Mumbai – JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar.
The new property is strategically located just one kilometre from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport Mumbai, making it highly accessible to both business and leisure travellers alike.
Speaking at the launch, Marriott International’s president and chief executive Arne M. Sorenson detailed the company’s ongoing expansion plans in India.
“India is a great, growing economy and as that economy grows, its need for hotel rooms grows too. JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar will be a premier luxury business hotel in India, setting a benchmark for service excellence,” said Sorenson.
Spanning more than 15 acres, the JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar boasts some of the most spacious guestrooms in its immediate vicinity. With a total of 585 rooms, this includes 163 deluxe pool view rooms, 23 deluxe suites, 23 executive balcony rooms, one presidential suite and more.
F&B options include the all-day dining outlet JW Café; Italian restaurant Romano’s that also comes with an attached bar offering cocktails, mocktails as well as wines; the JW Lounge that serves as a café by day and a lounge by night; and the JW Baking Company that sells pastries, coffee and deli favourites.
To accommodate large events and social gatherings, one has to look no further than the 929sqm grand ballroom, or the 11 well-appointed meeting rooms with conferencing and business facilities. The property’s spacious JW Lawns and Dining Theatres are also options as well.
