London minicab firm Addison Lee has bought rival Cyclone VIP Cars & Couriers.
The deal is the ninth time Addison Lee has purchased a competitor in the last five years as it seeks to strengthen its position in the wake of taxi app service Uber's huge success.
Cyclone was founded in 1985 and has around 100 drivers.
Addison Lee chief executive Liam Griffin said: "We are very pleased to announce Addison Lee's acquisition of Cyclone — a company that, like ourselves, prides itself on offering customers a premium service alongside assured performance."
The amount of money Addison Lee paid for Cyclone has not been revealed.
