The first Niccolo by Marco Polo property has opened today.

Niccolo Chengdu is designed to “meet the rising demand of global travellers looking for new and alluring adventures in urban discovery, whilst enjoying the pleasures of luxury travel”.

“Launching Niccolo by Marco Polo as part of International Finance Square Chengdu is an example of our long term strategic vision, by bringing a new luxury brand to market as part of the evolving business model for Marco Polo Hotels under the Wharf Hotels portfolio,” said Eric Waldburger, president Marco Polo Hotels.

The 230-room property fuses traditional hospitality elements with modern style, with the guestrooms having fashion inspired interiors by leading designers. Floor to ceiling windows offer panoramic city views, and help flood the rooms with natural light.

Dining options include The Tea Lounge, Niccolo Kitchen (all-day dining), Yue Hin Chinese restaurant and The Bar. In addition, the hotel offers a range of event spaces with the centrepiece being the Niccolo Ballroom on the 7th floor. The Conservatory – an oval glass venue surrounded by a sculpture garden on the 8th floor, can accommodate banquets, weddings and celebrations.

Finally, guests looking to rejuvenate can check out the hotel’s wellness facilities on the 6th floor that comes with a 20-metre pool, dry saunas and a fully equipped gym.
