Best Western International has signed its seventh property in Bangkok. The midscale hotel has yet to be named but the opening in 2016 will make the company one of the biggest hotel groups in the Thai capital.
“The world’s appetite for the Thai capital appears to be insatiable, with visitor numbers to the city now rebounding strongly from 2014,” said Ron Pohl, Best Western International’s senior vice president of brand management.
“With six hotels already present in the city, Best Western has a huge amount of confidence in Bangkok’s long-term prosperity. The launch of a seventh hotel, right in the centre of Sukhumvit, demonstrates our continued faith in this dynamic destination”.
The new hotel will be located in Sukhumvit Soi 16, close to business and leisure facilities, and it will offer 75 guestrooms – all of which are equipped with comfortable beds, flat-screen TVs and complimentary wifi. There will also be a single restaurant serving both local and international fare, as well as a fitness centre and several meeting spaces.
Along with the opening of the new property in Bangkok, Best Western International is also looking to potentially launch its new lifestyle boutique hotel concept, Vib as well as its Best Western Executive Residency in the Thai capital.
