Wyndham Hotel Group has revamped its loyalty programme to offer a flat redemption rate.
From May 11, Wyndham Rewards members can redeem a free night at any of the brand's more than 7,500 hotels for 15,000 points. There are no blackout dates.
Those that want to redeem their points sooner, or stay longer for less, can book a night at available properties for 3,000 points plus cash.
For each stay, members will earn ten points per dollar spent, or a minimum of 1,000 points per stay, whichever is the greater.
Members' existing points will be automatically transferred over to the new programme on May 11 or shortly thereafter.
Following the launch, an updated mobile app will be made available and updated elite membership tiers will be introduced later this year.
Josh Lesnick, Wyndham's executive vice president and chief marketing officer, said: "Primary research tells us that 89 per cent of travellers want to redeem their points for a free hotel night and that more than half feel that the majority of rewards feel unattainable.
"The new Wyndham Rewards programme addresses these sentiments head-on. Our new programme makes it easy for members to earn the points they need, understand what they have earned, and redeem their points for rewards they actually want."
Wyndham Rewards has more than 38 million members.
