Avios has unveiled a loyalty programme app for the new Apple Watch device.
The Avios Watch app will allow members of the Avios Travel Rewards Programme to view their balance and alert them when it increases.
It will be available to download for free then the watch launches on April 24. Members will only have to login once with their username and password.
The app can also appear in the watch's "today view", allowing users to instantly access their Avios balance without having to open the app.
Avios managing director Gavin Halliday said: "We want to help our customers get as much as they can from Avios and this new Watch app will make it even easier for them to keep track of their points and see the different ways they can use their Avios, not just for flights.
"We are the first loyalty programme in Europe to launch an app for the new Apple Watch. This forms part of our commitment to digital innovation."
British Airways Executive Club members who take a return flight on select transatlantic BA and American Airlines routes by April 27 can earn up to 7,000 bonus Avios (see news, March 5).
