Norwegian plans daily Gatwick-JFK route

24 Mar 2015 by GrahamSmith

Norwegian is planning a daily service between London Gatwick and New York JFK next year.

The carrier currently operates a B787 Dreamliner on the route six-times weekly in the summer and four-times weekly during the winter.

From February 23, it is "proposing" to fly the aircraft daily between the two cities, reports airlineroute.net. It is likely this means Norwegian is awaiting approval from the US Department of Transportation.

Outbound service DY7015 will depart Gatwick at 1710 and arrive at JFK at 2000.

On every day apart from Friday, return service DY7016 will leave JFK at 2230 and land at Gatwick at 1000 the next day. On Fridays, DY7016 will depart New York at 2200 and arrive in London at 0930 the next day.

This winter, Norwegian will add a third weekly service between Gatwick and Los Angeles (see news, March 2).
