JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotels to open in Macau

24 Mar 2015 by Clement Huang

Marriott International will open not one, but two new properties in Macau on May 27.

Both JW Marriott Hotel Macau and The Ritz-Carlton, Macau are set within the integrated resort destination, Galaxy Macau, and are now available for bookings on jwmarriottmacau.com and ritzcarlton.com/macau respectively.

JW Marriott Hotel Macau

As the largest JW Marriott in Asia, the Macau property will offer 1,015 guestrooms and suites, with views overlooking the Galaxy Macau’s Grand Resort Deck and Cotai Macau.

Dining options include classic Cantonese cuisine, as well as international and regional fare.

In addition to the hotel’s own outdoor pool, JW Marriott Hotel Macau provides direct links to Galaxy Macau’s 76,000sqm Grand Resort Deck, and the world’s largest Skytop Wave Pool, a 350-tonne white sand beach, and the world’s longest Skytop Rapids.

There is also the brand’s signature JW Kids Club plus more than 2,700sqm of flexible meeting space, including a pillar-less grand ballroom.

“Our new Asia Flagship hotel will serve as the new benchmark for the JW Marriott brand,” said Rauf Malik, vice president of operations at JW Marriott Hotel Macau and The Ritz-Carlton, Macau. “We provide an environment of simple elegance where our guests feel welcome, comfortable and free to be themselves. And so, together, we orchestrate an experience that is expertly edited to leave only what is desired”.

The Ritz-Carlton, Macau

In keeping with the premium luxury status of the brand, The Ritz-Carlton, Macau will feature over 250 suites on the top floor of the integrated resort.

There will be a range of dining outlets at the hotel, from Cantonese cuisine to fine dining. For recreational purposes, there is an outdoor pool that provides views over Cotai, while the poolside cabanas provide an intimate setting. As usual, the brand’s ESPA spa is also available, and there are also a number of event spaces available.

“The facilities and services at The Ritz-Carlton, Macau, are second to none,” said Malik. “Whether indulging in an authentic Chinese culinary experience at our exemplary Chinese restaurant, enjoying the classic ambience of our lobby lounge, or taking some time to rejuvenate at the spa, the ladies and gentlemen of the hotel will ensure guests enjoy personalized experiences that will leave an indelible mark in our guests’ memories.”
