British Airways will launch a new service between London Gatwick and Vienna later this year.
The airline will roster an A320 aircraft on the route, which will operate six-times weekly, every day except Saturday, from September 17 until the start of the winter season at the end of October. It will then fly four-times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Outbound service BA2560 will depart Gatwick at 1600 and land in Vienna at 1910, while return service BA2561 will leave Vienna at 2000 and arrive back in London at 2230.
BA currently operates a route to Vienna from London Heathrow.
This summer, the carrier will also launch a further seven new routes from LGW to Heraklion, Bodrum, Dalaman, Cagliari, Rhodes, Funchal and Sharm El Sheikh.
Last week, BA expanded its premium luggage concierge service at London City airport to all passengers on all of its 124 weekly domestic flights (see news, March 11).
