Plaza Premium Lounge has re-opened its newly upgraded facility at Vancouver International Airport (YVR). The lounge is one of four operated by the company at YVR, and is located at the new A-B Connector on Level 3 Departures of the Domestic Terminal.
The re-opening of the 593sqm space follows a facelift in 2014. The company will also open a new facility in Winnipeg International Airport in 2015.
Design of the lounge was done by Hong Kong firm, Kinney Chan & Associates. Notable features include the glass entrance that leads directly to a spiral staircase to the lounge level. Once upstairs, the open-air floorplan offers direct views of the airfield and the Strait of Georgia in the distance.
With seating for 135, there is plenty of space for guests to dine and relax. There are also private shower areas, as well as three semi-private resting areas outfitted with comfortable recliners. Travellers can also stay connected with wifi, large screen TVs and a selection of international newspapers and magazines.
Plaza Premium Lounge continues to place great emphasis on its F&B offerings. The YVR lounge features a menu that includes freshly baked artisanal breads, hot breakfasts, signature pastas, toasted paninis, quesadillas, soups, and salads. There is also a bar, which offers espresso coffees, juices, beers, wines, and spirits.
A visit to the lounge will cost CAD40 (US$32) per person for two hours, which includes use of the facilites, showers and all food and beverages. Semi-private resting areas are charged separately.
