Hilton Worldwide will open its largest Hampton by Hilton property to date in Berlin.
The 344-room Hampton by Hilton Berlin Alexanderplatz is scheduled to open in early 2018, it was announced today.
The hotel will be located less than 400 metres from Aleksanderplatz square and will be the third Hilton property in Berlin, joining Waldorf Astoria Berlin, Hilton Berlin, and Hampton by Hilton Berlin City West.
Hilton senior vice-president Patrick Fitzgibbon said: "This latest hotel will add substantially to our economy presence in central Berlin, a city which attracted 28.7 million overnight stays in 2014 alone, thanks to its fundamental appeal as a business and leisure destination."
The property is being developed under a franchise agreement with Interstar Hotel GmbH.
Last summer, Hilton opened what is currently the largest Hampton by Hilton property outside the US in Warsaw (see news, June 25).
