Members of the Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) program can now look forward to earning Starpoints whenever they ride with Uber, following a strategic partnership between the two companies.
This can now be done by linking existing SPG and Uber accounts at spg.com/uber. Following the completion of one qualifying stay during a calendar year at any Starwood hotel worldwide, SPG members can begin racking up points whenever they use Uber’s services.
Points earned
Preferred: 2 Starpoints per US dollar spent during SPG stay; 1 Starpoint per US dollar spent any other day
Gold/Platinum: 3 Starpoints per US dollar spent during SPG stay; 1 Starpoint per US dollar spent any other day
Platinum with 75 nights qualifying stays: 4 Starpoints per US dollar spent during SPG stay; 1 Starpoint per US dollar spent any other day

To commemorate the partnership between the two companies, SPG is offering a special one-day deal called "SPG #SuiteRide". On Saturday, February 28, Uber riders who link their Starwood and Uber accounts can select the “SPG” vehicle option within the Uber app for a door-to-door branded hotel experience on wheels and 15,000 Starpoints – good for a free night at category 1-5 Starwood hotel.
