Wow Air will operate two new A321 aircraft on its new services from Reykjavik to Boston and Washington DC, which launch this spring. The Icelandic airline will start flying to Logan International airport on March 27 and to Baltimore–Washington International on May 8. As previously reported, both routes will offer connections to/from London Gatwick (see news, October 23). Two new A321 aircraft, configured in a single class with 200 seats, will be rostered on to these transatlantic routes, the carrier said. Wow Air is scheduled to receive both aircraft in mid-March. Skuli Mogensen, Wow Air's CEO and founder, said: "We're very proud to be adding these new A321 aircraft to our growing fleet of aircraft. Their low fuel consumption and state of the art Cabin in a 200-seat configuration will offer our passengers a very comfortable journey at unbeatable prices. "We are now ready to continue our rapid growth as the first true low-cost carrier offering flights across the Atlantic via Iceland." wowair.com Graham Smith
